For Immediate Release:
September 19th, 2022 – Representatives from Trades NL and Trades NL’s Indigenous Skilled Trades Office will join industry leaders, analysts, suppliers and supporters from the Mining Industry at Labrador’s MINEx Conference today until Wednesday, September 21st.
“The MINEx Conference promises to be an important event and we look forward to further representing and showcasing what the building trades industry has to offer,” says Trades NL’s Executive Director, Darin King. “We anticipate there will be many conversations surrounding the synergies between our membership and the mining industry, and how we can additionally work together to reach maximum potential for local employment opportunities on current and incoming mining projects. The MINEx Conference is a great time to connect and have those transparent discussions.”
Through its Office for Indigenous Skilled Trades, Trades NL has created a database of Indigenous Trades Workers who are available for opportunities on the many projects in Labrador West and throughout the province. The office continues to work with apprentices to assist them in completing their training towards Red Seal and journeyperson status.
Trades NL has 18,000+ world-class, highly trained, qualified, and safety-oriented skilled trades workers from communities across Newfoundland and Labrador.
