January 15, 2021 – Today, Trades NL representing unionized skilled trade workers across Newfoundland and Labrador announced $10,000 in scholarships to assist dependents of building trade members in furthering their post-secondary education goals.

After meeting the pre-determined eligibility requirements, 10 successful recipients were selected:

As our province faces many challenges ahead of us, we are depending on these young leaders in bringing Newfoundland and Labrador to a bright future.”

Over the past 4 years, Trades NL has awarded 25 scholarships to dependents of our skilled trade members.

Trades NL is an umbrella labour organization which promotes and coordinates the interests of 16 building and construction trades unions, representing more than 18,000 skilled trades workers in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. For 70 years, our craft continues to construct, fabricate and maintain some of the world’s most complex facilities.
