St. John’s, NL – Trades NL proudly announced a $5,000 donation to the Canadian Cancer Society during the annual “A Home for A Night” Radiothon on November 14.
Daffodil Place serves as a home away from home for individuals and families traveling for cancer treatment. Since opening in 2009, it has welcomed thousands of guests, providing them with the care and support they need during difficult times. The facility offers accommodations, meals, and support services to help ease the stress and challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis. This donation will help ensure Daffodil Place remains a vital resource for those who rely on its services.
“Our members live in communities across the province, where family and friends are required to travel to the city for cancer treatment,” said Tom Woodford, President of Trades NL and business manager of Ironworkers Local 764. “So, we are proud to contribute to an organization that provides such essential support and care in our communities.”
Trades NL is Newfoundland & Labrador’s largest skilled trades multi-trade labour supplier for construction, fabrication and maintenance projects. Our 14,000 members remains committed to supporting the communities in which they live. When our members are working, everyone benefits.
