NL Building Trades Contribute $75,000 to Easter Seals Accessible Park Project

The Newfoundland Labrador Building Construction Trades Council joined with members of Easter Seals in St. John’s today at their Groundbreaking Ceremony, and announced a $75,000 funding commitment to assist with the construction of a new, fully accessible playground.
“I congratulate Easter Seals on their Groundbreaking Ceremony today for their fully accessible and inclusive park, and for their continued contribution to our community. They are continuing working hard to make this project a reality, and we are happy to be one of their corporate partners,” said Darin King, Executive Director, NL Building Construction Trades Council
Easter Seals is a charitable organization that has operated in Newfoundland Labrador since 1937, dedicated to enhancing the lives of persons with disabilities.
“Our members remain supportive of families and communities throughout our province,” King said, “and doing what we are able to assist improving their quality of life. This project offers many improvements and benefits to those being served by Easter Seals, and we are proud to be a part of it”
The Newfoundland and Labrador Building & Construction Trades Council (NLBTC) is an umbrella labour organization which promotes and coordinates the interests of 16 building and construction trades unions, their international affiliates, and more than 15,000 trades workers in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
